Another great video by CNCKitchen, this time it’s on a Swiss developed rotating print head open source project and more importantly gcode slicing software for it!

This enables printing objects with less supporting material and better overhang quality. While the hardware solution is clever the real advancement is in the software. Their solution to printing the layers in conical slices is super clever yet reasonable to understand.

 
That is pretty cool! I'd seen people talking about this printer, but hadn't watched the video or understood that they'd solved(ish) the slicing for it, too. Like the narrator, I'll be interested to see what comes up when the non-planar slicing makes its way into more hands, tilted printhead or not.
